We follow the same procedures for our PHONE consultations as we do in our offices. After you contact us we set up an appointment time for you to call us. The consultation will last between one and two hours. The first part of every consultation is obtaining a thorough behavioral and medical history. If possible, we would like you to either fax or send us your cat's medical records before the appointment. After obtaining your cat's history your veterinary behaviorist will provide you with: a diagnosis and explanation of your cat's behavior problem, a personalized treatment plan, and handouts to help you implement the program. If drug therapy is recommended we will be contacting your veterinarian to prescribe the specific medication. Photographs or a 10-15 minute videotape of your cat's misbehavior in action are helpful (but not required). Follow-ups are done either on-line, by fax, or by phone.
The fee is $200.00 (U.S.). This covers the entire program and follow-ups.
The fee also gives you a 3-month subscription to our PetLine magazine.
